Reselling Hub
These pages are the business rules for writing listings in the reseller business. Stockroom's listing drafter reads them by slug — it never searches — and records each page's canonical_id and version on every draft, so a draft can always be traced to the exact rules that shaped it. Part of the Simple Agility stack; see StockroomIntakeInventoryPricingDesign.
How Stockroom uses them
- ResellingListingStyleGuide applies to every draft.
- Each item kind adds a category page (mapping editable on Stockroom's Rules page, optionally narrowed by a catalog subject):
- Stockroom caches each page. If the wiki is unreachable it drafts from the last cached copy and marks the rule source stale; with no cached copy, drafting stops with a reason.
- Editing a page changes future drafts only. Approved listings keep the version they were written with.
Writing these pages
- Write rules as plain instructions to a careful listing writer. Keep each page short: every word is sent with every draft.
- Honesty rules live in the style guide and are also enforced by code after generation (forbidden unverified claims, flaw disclosure, title length, no contact details). Changing the wording here does not relax the code.
- Channel-neutral only: no posting instructions, prices, shipping or payment terms. Posting is out of Stockroom's scope.
