Pressroom Blog Platform Work

Part of the Simple Agility stack. Pressroom is the stack's customer communication component — the blog/newsletter for proactive customer contact. When its optimization loop is built it follows SimpleAgilityFeedbackLoopPattern (that page carries a Pressroom sketch), it emits telemetry per SimpleAgilityTelemetryContract, and it consumes search visibility and engagement feeds from the observability plane rather than building pollers or event tables of its own (SimpleAgilityObservabilityPlane).

Apache Roller is the ASF's Java blog server (first created 2002). The product, named Roller until release 0.5.0 (2026-10-29, SA-14), is a fork of Apache Roller 6.1.5.0 on Java 25 at ~/source/pressroom (GitHub jakefearsd/pressroom; Java packages com.wikantik.pressroom). It began as three parallel feature worktrees (the w3t line, see Pressroom w3t Plugins); shortcodes, Leaflet maps and JSON-LD structured data are now described in the repository's docs/dev/content-features.md.

Why this work exists

The three w3t features (shortcodes, Leaflet maps, JSON-LD structured data) modernize Pressroom content authoring and SEO output — the same structured-data instincts applied to the wiki (JSON-LD per page type) applied to blog posts.
