One Minute Wiki

A wiki is a set of web pages that anyone with permission can read and edit. The word comes from the Hawaiian wiki wiki, "quick". Pages link to each other, every change is kept as a version, and a mistake can be undone by restoring an older version.

The basics

• Choose Edit on a page, change the Markdown, add a short change note, and save.
• Link to another page by writing its name in double square brackets, like [[SandBox]]. If that page does not exist yet, the link marks it as missing, and following it creates the page.
• Use TextFormattingRules for bold, lists, tables and the rest, and WikiName to see how page names work.
• Try it in the SandBox, and read WikiEtiquette before editing other people's pages.

Why it works

Because every version is kept, careless edits are cheap to fix and careful edits build up. The page history shows who changed what, and the sidebar lists recent changes. See Reading a Page and Editing.
